Assignment 3
The spirit of entrepreneurship has been embedded within me for as long as I can remember. My father started his own business straight out of high school and has turned it into the successful business that it is today. My entire life I have grown up in a family that fosters innovative ideas which is the reason why I decided to take this class. I aspire to create a successful business one day the same way that my father created his business.
Although I have always been exposed to entrepreneurship, I finally put this task into play when I initiated a dance company at my high school. Starting the company took over a year; however, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. Once the team was started, I had to figure out many logistics such as rehearsals, costs, and competitions. This experience was extremely difficult at times as I came across numerous tribulations; however, with the help of others, the company became successful and continues to grow every year.
This experience along with experience in my family business have both led me to taking this course. I hope to learn the important values of a successful entrepreneur along with the skills it takes to create a business from the ground up.

I can relate as my father inspires me as well and has encouraged me to pick the path I have chosen to take so far in life. I can only imagine the hard work that went into starting your dance company as there must have been so many moving parts. Overall, good job!

I think it is also great that you follow the tradition and applied what your family taught you.
